Udita Goswami pens heartfelt tribute for Mohit Suri post Saiyaara success: “You’re a star maker—you don’t need stars to shine”

The newly released film Saiyaara has turned into a massive box office success, having earned an impressive Rs 108 crore to date. Helmed by Mohit Suri and featuring debutants Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, the YRF venture is setting new records while resonating deeply with audiences nationwide. Amid the film’s soaring popularity, Mohit Suri’s wife, actress-turned-DJ Udita Goswami, posted a heartfelt tribute, acknowledging her husband’s unwavering commitment, personal sacrifices, and artistic path.

Udita took to Instagram to share a series of candid moments featuring Mohit with their children and herself. In a rare glimpse into their personal life, she expressed deep admiration for his resilience. “At home, I rarely express my appreciation,” she wrote. “I’m usually the one nagging—‘Turn off the lights,’ ‘Hang your wet towel’—but today, I want to acknowledge the filmmaker you are.”

Udita shared that the journey of Saiyaara was far from easy for Mohit. Despite receiving several high-paying offers, he stayed true to his vision, even if it meant starting from scratch. “You sacrificed a lot to pursue your vision—turned down so many tempting offers, started fresh, and rebuilt everything from the ground up,” she wrote, noting that his ultimate aim was to create something their children would be proud of.

She also commended his steadfast dedication to storytelling and his talent for discovering new talent rather than depending on established stars. “You’re a star maker—you don’t need stars to shine, and you’ve never compromised on your creative integrity. It should always be your way,” she said, playfully reminding him of his ongoing household responsibilities.

Saiyaara has been widely praised by both audiences and critics, with its fresh cast, emotional resonance, and compelling narrative drawing particular acclaim. The film has especially struck a chord with younger viewers, helping drive its box office success and cultural impact.

Udita’s post not only highlights Mohit’s professional achievement but also provides a rare window into their personal world—marked by love, support, and deep mutual respect. As Saiyaara continues its strong run, this moment serves as a reminder of the unseen struggles and quiet perseverance that often shape a filmmaker’s journey.
