South Korean superstars BTS is keeping their fans, ARMY, in their heartfelt posts as their new single 'Permission To Dance' has debuted at No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100. The third English track from the group has debuted at No. 1 on Hot 100 replacing their second English track 'Butter' which soared on top for seven consecutive weeks. 'Butter' takes No. 7 spot on the chart.
Taking to the Weverse, a social media platform by HYBE, BTS members penned thoughtful posts about achieving their fifth No. 1 on Hot 100. The group's leader RM wrote a note thanking fans for the support."I’m feeling a wide range of emotions!! Having continuously been unable to meet you all, I was in a state where I’ve become very numb to joy or sadness. Nonetheless, I’d like to fully enjoy today, with my eyes closed and my body dancing for no reason! I’m certainly happy! That you have given me emotions like these, I continue to be sincerely honored and grateful! I hope one day we can meet and embrace each other, and share and cherish this joy [we’re unable to fully share together at the moment]! Thank you with all of my heart," he said.

They’ve already achieved four No. 1 hits in less than a year with 'Dynamite', then 'Savage Love' remix with Jawsh 685 and Jason Derulo, followed by 'Life Goes On', and 'Butter'. 'Permission To Dance' has simultaneously debuted at No. 1 on both Billboard Global 200 and Global 200 Excl. US singles charts this week along with Hot 100 chart.
RM, during Love Yourself: Speak Yourself finale concert, expressed how love comes in all forms and that's how BTS expresses their love for their fans. "I wish there were a grander phrase to express 'love,' because I love you all so, so much," he said in a sentimental speech in 2019.
Just like SUGA said last week on Weverse platform after their seventh consecutive week on Hot 100 with 'Butter', it's baton touch. Like relay games, when one player passes the baton to another plan to finish the race, BTS passes the baton to themselves after grabbing another No. 1 in their impressive career.
